Hello,
Whenever I boot my computer in "ubuntu, with linux 3.19.0-26-generic" from grub I end up with a black screen with a controllable cursor. The only thing is that there is nothing but the cursor...
If I boot into "ubuntu, with linux 3.19.0-26-generic (upstart)" it properly boots but the software that was launched when this problem started occuring is automatically launched again. It also has the tendency to freeze quite easily in this mode...
when I move to tty1 command mode from here and try to launch plasmashell, I receive this output: QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display Aborted (core dumped)
i've tried this because of some different thread I've been scrolling through
Any advice for a newbie (I guess that's what you might call me ;-))
lorin
