Wow, 14.04 LTS is not known for plasma crashes. That can't be fun.

A stock 15.04 (not an lts) sure can be, without updating plasma.15.10's plasma is much better, but there are still things under the hood still getting, ubuntu-wise.

nvidia recently broke on me, though I am finding the free driver working rather well.

so which version would YOU advise , im quite happy to kill this current distro and start another i mean iv already been through so many iv lost count so another wont matter.

I have a reasonably new comp i7, 16G ram, nvidia gtx770 and i would like a nice flashy DE but i really want stability.

      what would you suggest?

      cheers

14.04 with the kubuntu-backports ppa added for the last kde4 updates. Plenty of flash and themes and widgets, for sure
