[PLASMA 5] Some old-style tray icons not appearing in system tray.

I noticed some apps such as pidgin, redshift and yad don't get a system tray icon anymore. I am guessing "old style" tray icons they have been deprecated to the benefit of no one.

I am guessing it's another lost feature, but want to confirm it before I give up.

The blog post linked to in that thread has 3 programs you can install that might bring back some of those. Like sni-qt did for Skype.

I am now oddly reminded of my days with FVWM. Well, I guess that's a blast from the past then, I didn't expect to have to use one of those nowadays, but better than nothing. Thanks, ronw.
