Kubuntu form of the "dashboard".
TWO PARTS.........
for the GREAT RELIEF OF THE OLD GROANERS AT THE FORUM!!
THERE IS
FIRST......... "the situation"
and then
SECONDLY: "the tangential rant about the situation". lol

Anyway...................................
This is about "the dashboard", the "shiny, transluscent, black, thingy" that one gets at rather odd times...
A) I first invoked Menu / Graphics / GIMP / file / create / Xsane / USB hp 6600
and.....clicked it.......
DESPERATELY GRABBED THE BOOK IN THE DEVICE AND HELD IT DOWN SO THAT I COULD MAYBE REDUCE......
the........dreaded .........."shadow"......on a page.....
LOL LOL
WE HAVE ALL DONE IT!! lol
OK.....picture this.......
I'm holding the book with BOTH hands......the scan is done......
BUT.......I can't let go!!!
I then move my left hand to the mouse and invoke it........
and........
the
"Kubuntu maybe specially tweaked / Ubuntu dashboard" is invoked and the scan and the app appear in the
SEMITRANSPARENT BLACK SHINEY
dashboard, I then can choose the scan and "save as"....
I do that again two more times....
saved as .xcf.
I was then able to remove the book,
and "export as" .png
In other words........
Whether it is a "Kubuntu thing" or an "Ubuntu thing"........
I HAVE THE WHOLE SCREEN TO MOVE THE MOUSE AROUND IN...
WITH MY NON NORMAL HAND......in this case.....left hand...
Instead............
of what Microshat does......with......
little dinguses on the panel.
Just sayin' that the "dashboard" of Kubuntu, or Ubuntu is very
USER friendly......

B ) The college has purchased the "copyright uses" of the "physics lab" which was authored by the woman who offered me a position teaching physical science and now physics.
NON ACADEMIC PEOPLE JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND the LEVEL of STUPIDITY that ACADEMIC bureaucrats can attain.......
OR THE FEIGNED LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.......of the ENTRENCHED BUREAUCRAT....
Guess what..........when they "get tenure"........THEY CANNOT BE FIRED!!!
CONTRARY TO THE BUREAUCRATS........who are more interested in protecting their position and putting the teacher down, so that they have SOMEthing going on during the day because there is NOTHING going on "at home"....
making a "copy" of ....
a) an educational inspiration is completely legal.
b) UMMMM making a copy of a PURCHASED document, for which the teacher is given explicit permission to "ummmm" "make copies".......IS FREAKING LEGAL!! DUUHH!!

THE UBIQUITOUS GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRAT.....who ...just LOVES to make "people below him"

Apparently.........according to "the net" there was a woman who was EXPLICITELY caught "doing something" while she was WATCHING THE FILM......

teachers........ challenged me on putting the copies on Blackboard.......for the students to......ummm download.........
I indicated to the GNOME, that the students had PAID cash monies, or Obama grant monies, or Bush scholarship monies, to..........be ..........able.......to DO PRECISELY THAT......
I SHOWED THE FU@#$%^ GNOME THE PAPERWORK FROM THE COLLEGE TO THE PUBLISHER ..........
But the GNOME ..........got in his "digs" anyway....... lol....... I laugh in my vodka martini.....
But, the GNOME............had me drive fourty miles, and wait in a waiting room, to spend an hour ...........
to tell the GNOME.........EXACTLY WHAT HE ALREADY KNOWS......
But........he can now put on his job reports that he "had concerns".........
AND THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION THROUGH THE EDDICATION DEPARTMENT..........
got a "check mark" .....that "he had done his job"...
SO that a GNOME in the Eddication department can have HER OR HIS supervisor put a checkmark next to the person that.......he or she "did her job".....

All I heard out of their mouths was.....that "this reporter has concerns".........
about anything that does not hew to the liberal line........
