[SOLVED] I have lost all the menus on top

my applications work good with new video card i have killed both my wife's and my .kde directories
yet i have 0 ability to expand or do anything related to window behaviors ideas ?

Sounds as though, maybe, the "Windows Decorations" are missing? Is that it?

I had issues with the following items trying to get my new nvidia geforce 210 installed

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
sudo apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current nvidia-settings
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get upgrade
(im this order isn't correct)
So i go through all this and finally get a good driver in and forgot 1 very important step
if you purge your nvidia drivers and re install them you must do this to :
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

Because that is what restored the menus and all . I run lxde as a back so im not hosed in these situation this thought of that last step kept me awake so i tried it and viola :-)
