Vertical panels

Can anyone enlighten me as to how we keep the panels above the main window in 12.04? I currently set them to 'Keep above others,' but I don't see a default setting to set them there every time Gimp opens. Has anyone discovered the secret??

Hi,

I've been using the 'vert' for ages now and only get the odd problem (see http://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?59326-Echos for one of them). It does not - Plasma Shell wouild it be? - seem all that stable to me. There is always an issue when you upgrade to the next Kubuntu version and you are running around trying to get the widgets in the order you want or to even appear. No doubt it will get better as time goes on - and hey what the heck?

I am still on 11.10 and staying there until 12.04 settles down. I did upgrade but what a bl**dy mess!
