kontact calendar journal

Hi,

It seems that i am unable to enter new events in my calendar or new entries in my journal.
When i click on the appropriate buttons in kontact, nothing happens.
No errors, no crashes, nothing.

Does anyone know how i can restore this functionality ?

(man oh man, i sure am sorry i "upgraded" to this 11.10 crap. What the **** did they do to kontact ? Once rock solid, now a constant source of trouble.)

I agree that it is not that intuitive. Here is what I do.

Go to "journal" so that you are "in" journal.

File/new journal/you will see a lot of other "new things" you could do but select "new journal".

You wil then get a popup window that is labeled "Kontact"

Enter a title and type away in the box.

The really UNhandy thing to me is that what I ...."intuitively" want is to see a "journal page" in the panel on the right and just type there, but the way it works is that a "page", or more pages, are produced for "a date"...when you apply and ok THEN the page appears in the panel to the right.

One can then edit, delete or print that page.

So try that and if it doesn't work then come back and somebody more knowledgeable than I can take up the issue.
