    kubuntu-ppa and kubuntu-ppa/backports question

In order to upgrade to KDE 4.6.4 (now up to 4.6.5) in Natty, I previously added the ppa:kubuntu-ppa repository. If I now want to upgrade to KDE 4.7 I'd have to add the ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports repository.

Question: Are there any undesireable consequences of having both ppa's active at the same time?

    I've not noticed any problems.
I have had both enabled for a good while.
I enabled backports to get the latest Amarok as per news page.

Nope, should be Ok as the newest package version will be installed regardless, in this case 4.7

The team does make sure that there aren't any conflict issues between the ppa's

Back when I was running Maverick and wanted to upgrade from KDE 4.5 to 4.6, I had to have both ppa's active. Just assumed it was required to have kubuntu-ppa if you wanted kubuntu-ppa/backports.

Thanks to all. Added the repository on the 14th and upgraded to KDE 4.7. No problems and everything seems to run quicker and faster.
