    "reset" kde sound settings (Solved)

    Hi

Over a period of time I have used a number of different pieces of sound equipment (usb headphones, 3.5mm jack to usb etc) and recently I have attempted to use an easycap DC60+ usb video capture card (Empia 2861).

The upshot of my recent attempt is that, whilst I can get video from that card I have never been able to obtain audio, despite having tried everything. I have now decided to by-pass the card for audio, and restrict it to video capture, which it does rather well. However, there are now about a dozen references to it in the kde system settings under capture. Worse, it seems to somehow prevent me from turning down the output volume so I am now stuck on full volume, which is very irritating.

I think I need to wipe the surplus entries in the kde system settings but I am unable to remove them. I suppose I could do it by renaming the .kde file but is there a specific file I can remove so as to spawn a new list within the system settings?

    Thanks

Edit: Solved- the file is /home/,kde/share/config/phonondevicesrc
