What is this kwalletd window?

I have run kubuntu 10.04 on this platform since February. Just in the last two weeks, an odd thing has started. Sometime after every boot (maybe 4 minutes later, maybe an hour) a blank window pops up for no reason I can discern, labelled "kwalletd". It is fully blank, no other words, and clicking on it does nothing.

The KDE wallet system is enabled, but I don't actively use it.

What is this kwalletd window, and why did it suddenly appear?

If you don't use it then uninstall kwallet.

Or just disable it in System Settings. That's what I do.

Windows no longer obstructs my view.
