dolphin back and forward buttons: no history drop down menu

? first, apologies if the question has been raised elsewhere, I just could not find the answer.
I'm new to Linux, currently on Kubuntu Maverick, and I just noticed there is no drop down menu in dolphin for the back and forward buttons, so I could navigate quickly to folders visited 15 clicks ago in one click, as in firebox, or other browsers.
anybody could tell me if that's possible with dolphin?
    thanks a lot,
    David.

It doesn't appear so, but it's a great idea! I went to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157819 and voted for you there.

Re: dolphin back and forward buttons: no history drop down menu

Interesting indeed. Dolphin does hold navigation history, as otherwise, the back/forward arrows on the Main Toolbar wouldn't work. That this history isn't presented in the editable URL window when you click on the little 'v' at the end is, an unfortunate oversight, one that would enhance Dolphin as a file manager. Off to vote for this as a requested feature.

Actually, posting/adding to bugs.kde.org for this is not the right place. That the feature is missing isn't a bug. Better to add to the KDEBrainstorm New Idea that I posted on KDE Community Forums. You have to be registered to post, but like here, it's free.

Yes, in Konqueror, but not available in Dolphin, which was the observation/question of the OP.
