kclipper and UTF-8 characters

Hi,

My system is kubuntu 10.04 and displays UTF-8, japanese etc... characters just fine, however I can not copy/paste them from one application to another. They come out as a garbled mess.

Is there any config changes to kclipper needed to make this work?
