Hi,
I want to be able to search my data at /media/disk; or anywhere else for that
matter. But I can't make the Nepomuk search engine work in Dolphin file
Manager. I've ticked the Enable Strigi Desktop file Indexer several times and
nothing happens except it disappears the next time I open it. I've also ticked
the right box under File Indexing tab.
It's been said that the 'locate' command is perfectly adequate search option but
I have this problem before I get Started!
nnjond@nnjond-den:/media/disk/Dual_Data$ updatedb
updatedb: can not open a temporary file for `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db'
nnjond@nnjond-den:
Also This seems to tell me nothing:
nnjond@nnjond-den:~$ qdbus org.kde.NepomukServer /nepomukserver org.kde.NepomukServer.quit
nnjond@nnjond-den:~$ nepomukserver 2> /tmp/nepomuk.stderr
nnjond@nnjond-den:~$
Is there an idiot's guide somewhere?
