Delay after pressing alt+tab

Hi,

since I upgraded to kubunutu 10.4 there is an annoying behavior in KDE: When I press alt+tab and hold tab then, it takes about 2 seconds before the list with my tasks appears (no desktop effects installed etc.)

This delay is extremely annoying. Is there any way to disable it?

maybe I should note that I am using the proprietary ATI driver. The GNU radeon driver did not work properly with an external monitor. (the lines kept flickering.)

I note that no one has answered yet. Could it be that this problem is unique? Anyway, I hope you got it fixed. I use a lot of open windows and Alt-Tab is very important to the way I work so a delay would indeed be extremely annoying. I have experienced long delays and sluggish response from Firefox in the past and it went away when I got a new Flash version installed. I think there can be quite diverse reasons for your delay.
