If you have ATI I say yes, wait. Just spent the last 1.5 hours wiring with my ATI card with Proprietary drives and open and I still have issues that I didn't under 4.4.5, thought this ATI card gives me fits. I'm soooo used to NVidia. I just don't know what I'm missing.
Good note, my Nvidia driven system is working great with KDE 4.5 after the QT updates.
