Any keyboard shortcuts for the 4.4 fast tiling ?

hi,

The new KDE 4.4 is really cool. Kubuntu is the best distro I've ever used.

The "fast half screen tiling" is super useful.

I just have one question. Are there any keyboard shortcuts for putting a window on the left side/right side of the screen?

If you don't understand me, the win7 equivalent is " [win] + left " for tiling the window in the left half and "[win] + right" to tile it on the right half and "[win] + up" to maximise.

I've tried googling and I've searched the forum but I couldn't find anything (and i wasn't sure what the feature was called)

It's not really a major issue, but it's nice to have.

There are none set by default, but you can set the shortcuts in
SystemSettings>Keyboard&Mouse>GlobalShortcuts
Choose 'Kwin' as the KDE component and browse down to 'Quick Tile Window to the Left/Right' to set your shortcuts
EDIT: You can also set a shortcut for maximize, of course

Open Systemsettings.
Click on Keyboard & Mouse
Click on Global Keyboard Shortcuts
Change KDE component to "KWin"

Click on a description which seems to be what you want.
Assign it an used hotkey combo.
Click Apply

I used "Meta +R" and "Meta + L".
Works great!
