Style - System Settings (KDE 4.4.0)

Of course, the provided GUI Help on this is less than helpful. :P So, does anyone know, under Fine Tuning, what the Graphical effects settings are for? What exactly is meant by the descriptions? As upgraded (from KDE 4.3.5), on my laptop, the setting is "Low display resolution and Very High CPU" Not knowing what this 'option' provides, and not likeing to be my own 'lab rat,' I have not tried changing the setting to see what happens.

    Eyecandy settings ? (It seems)

    - What is a "builtin" (should be 'built in') animation? The "what's
this" text ("If you enable this option, KDE Applications will run
internal animations") is even less clear...

The reason for this option to exist is to improve performance on
    machines with slower graphics.

There's this whole coder-rock-star thing that is just plain weird. What good is code with bugs? What good is code that nobody knows how to use or understand?

Thanks Rog. One step closer to a 'good' explanation.

But what do the developers mean by "Low CPU", "High CPU", and "Very High CPU" - is it CPU speed or CPU demand? And when they say "Low display resolution" and "High display resolution" - is it the size of the screen or do they mean the capability of the GPU?

This is the geekiest 'addition' to KDE I've seen so far, :P, and the lack of good documentation/explanation does nothing to make it any clearer.

Ran across that same settings and wasn't sure either. Very cryptic at best.
