Directing http requests from apps to browsers specific to virtual desktops

When you click on a link, say in Kontact or Choqok or... a.n.other app, we all know it will either direct the request to the present browser that is open, or the last browser window that was in focus on whichever virtual desktop that was or open a new browser on the virtual desktop where that app is currently located. Cool.

So, what I was wondering was... let's say I have 5 virtual desktops, 3 of which already have a browser window open and on one of the virtual desktops without a browser window open I have an app that's got a hyperlink - what I'd like to achieve is that when I click on that link it will a) detect no browser open on this virtual desktop b) launch a new browser window and c) direct me to the link I clicked. Secondly, where I have several browser windows already open on a virtual desktop and an app on that same virtual desktop that has a link I can click I would be happy for that to direct the request to the browser that was last in focus on that virtual desktop.

Now, I'm probably being greedy here but if having this functionality one could then have a specific browser preference for each virtual desktop i.e. use Chrome for vdesktop 1 and Firefox for vdesktop 2 and konq for vdesktop 3 that would be rather handy.

Is it possible to configure KDE to achieve this?
