[SOLVED] Konqueror : make some file type appear first

Hello

When I open a directory with Konqueror with the "icon" view, I would like the PDF, DVI ans PS files to appear first.

Unfortunately, the order of appareance is defined by the mime types (configuration->file association) and the "description" field that seem to be impossible to change.

Does someone know how to modify the "description" of a type ?

USERCASE :

For example, the mime type of DVI is "Document TeX DVI" while the type of a simple .tex file is "Document TeX"
Thus, my DVI files arrive after the TEX files (and even after all the brute text files).

I tried to add a new type of files "000_DVI" in "configuration -> association of files". I even removed the type "x-dvi".

My problem is the the type "x-dvi" seems to be impossible to modify.

konqueror does not save its own type discriptions you would have to change the global description of the file type(s).
you can do that from
System Settings -> Advanced Tab -> File Associations.
once there select the file type you wish to change. you can change discriptions, default apps and more. enjoy

It works perfectly, thanks a lot.

I also had to change the tab "integration" to select "okulardvi" in order to make konqueror open my "new" type in tab instead of an external Okular.
