    Compiz or Kwin for compositing

    Some computers do a better a job with Compiz than Kwin when it comes to desktop effects.

    there really is no diffrence i use compiz my self and will continue to use it untill kwin catches up in some areas , like using the mouse for shortcuts (like alt+ctrl +mouse button 1 to rotate the cube.. )

      I use compiz, and I underlined for a reason.

      I go to my employer's office where they're so deep in Microsoft's pocket they can't see daylight, and I click the mouse wheel to spin my cube and .... crap, what a disappointment!

        @dibl thats great!
        i also work in a place where i am forced to use windows all day long, and the software i need to run does not work with wine... and they won't replace it with something else.

        currently my cube is a fish bowl , i like it
