KDE 4. Why can't I make icons for Firefox, Amarok, etc... on the toolbar/panel ?

Am I missing something? I can't figure out how to make application launching icons for Firefox, whatever I want from the menus. Remember the KDE 3 days when you just right-clicked on the menu item and selected "add to panel" ? Now a right-click launches the application just as a left-click does.

Having to search through menus for an application with a laptop touchpad is awful. I need application launcher icons.

    Thanks,

    B

Make sure you have widgets unlocked, otherwise the options won't show.
    or/and
Edit: Never mind... it just dawned on me that when you mentioned Kickoff, you really meant Kickoff... I had my menu set to Classic Style and it apparently doesn't work there. Switching it back to Kickoff did the trick.
