wallpaper change with fade effect

Hi there

I have installed Kubuntu 9.04 in my laptop and am happy with it. However, there is a small doubt that I have. In Ubuntu 9.04, the wallpaper changes with a fade-in tranistion but in Kubuntu 9.04 there's nothing like that. Can someone explain why and how may I get the fade-in setting...All other desktop effects work great.

The Ubuntu is using the Gnome desktop and is based to the GTK.
The Kubuntu is using the KDE desktop and is based to the Qt.


As default the Kubuntu 9.04 is using the KDE 4.2. The KDE 4.2 wallpapers don't have smooth (fading) effect.

The Kubuntu 9.10 will come with the KDE 4.3. The KDE 4.3 has smooth sliding from a wallpaper to the another...
