Cannot install KDE 4.2.1

I installed KDE 4.2.00 some time ago when it was only available on the PPA repositories, but now that it was included in the backports I tried to install this version and later even upgrade it to 4.2.1 but to no avail...

What should I uninstall and later install to make sure I'll get the new upgrades to be installed on my system?

Multibooting: Kubuntu Noble 24.04
Before: Jammy 22.04, Focal 20.04, Precise 12.04 Xenial 16.04 and Bionic 18.04
Win XP, 7 & 10 sadly
Using Linux since June, 2008

KDE 4.2.1 isn't released yet (though it should be available in a matter of days)...although I don't know if it will be packaged for Intrepid Ibex, my guess is it will...probably in a ppa repository.

It should appear in the Jaunty repos after it is released.
