    password on lid open (Laptop)

I updated to KDE4.2 recently, and ever since then, when I close my laptop lid, and re-open it and press any key or move the mouse, it asks me to enter my password....I never had it set like that, and i've searched to see why it's doing this and I can't find any reason why. I don't have a password for the screen saver, and it doesn't ask me for one when the screen saver comes on automatically, it only asks when I close then re-open the lid and touch any key.

    Any ideas?

Under your system settings go to the advanced tab and then to the power management section. In there, there is a check box for Lock screen on resume. When you close your laptop lid it suspends by default. This check box is always checked by default on install so just uncheck that and you should be good to go.

        No power management section!

Under System Settings, Advanced, I see two sections: System Administration and Advanced User Settings. Neither of those have anything about power management. Am I missing a module, perhaps?
