[SOLVED]Upgrade error!? What do I do?

After going for the KDE 4.2 upgrade (from 4.1.4), all packages were downloaded, and then processed. Received this:

Got the pop-up allowing this 'error' to be reported to the developers. Opted to do so and ended with another pop-up that said the package was not an official Ubuntu package and so not reported to the developers!

What gives? Am I screwed with the upgrade?

Huh!

And I thought my "plasma-workspace has crashed with Signal 11 (Segfault)" was a problem .... :P

I ended up (a) nuking ~/.kde and (b) installing the new Nvidia beta driver. I'm presently re-configuring my desktop to get it back to where it was this morning. :P


FYI, I had KDE 4.1.96, which is what your dependency errors are about (in part, anyway). I now have KDE 4.2.0, so I guess I can declare "Success" in that regard. Apparently (from your errors) it wants to go from 4.1.96 to 4.2.0 and doesn't want to start from 4.1.4.

I performed a normal shutdown/restart, and I'm now running K Desktop Environment Version 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0).
It's interesting to note, that the KSplash screen displays KDE 4.1 instead of KDE 4.2. Developers - are you listening?

It's the rectangle.png image file. I'm using a custom ksplash theme. I've copied the file from the Default Theme 1920x1200 folder - the file is the same size - as it has no identification on it in to my custom theme folder. All is good.
