With this new Desktop environment in version 8.10, how do you create a new folder for the desktop. In previous versions, you'd just right clicked/create. Thanks.

Re: Question about Kubuntu 8.10 desktop
there's no "desktop" anymore in kde4.
not the way it used to be.
the "desktop" is now a plain normal directory in users' homes.
the desktop's root window is reserved to plasmoids (widgets/gadgets) only.
by default you should have a "folder view" plasmoid on your desktop pointing to the "Desktop" folder.
it's glassy looking thing.
right click on that one.
a popup menu will appear.
it should allow you to create directories amongst other things.
