Problems in loading kwin

As an old gnome user I made a mistake when loaded Kubuntu to my PC. I did not know about Compiz problems with KDE and tried to use it but found quit soon problens in its usebility.

But now - when I want use KWin again, there are problems. I have deleted all Compiz files, but still in uploading PC, the KWin window manager dont operate fully. For ex. all page marks in the page corner are away.

I have found, if I newly mark compiz in the window manager and try to load it, an automatic message will shown "this dont successe and KWin will be used as the window manager" - and hups. now KWin fully operates.

But this is not funny - this must be done every time I load the PC. So - what for help?

I had problems with Compiz in KDE since last night when I switch it on. For example, the number of desktops set are ruled by Compiz --- it takes over much of the system behaviour. So I wanted to have compiz switched off, but could not. I removed everything related with compiz by doing:

sudo apt-get remove --purge compiz*

and then I did

kwin --replace

I now only use kwin so I am happy with the minimal fun I get with kwin.
