    Add to panel does nothing

    Hi,
    I use Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.1.2.
I have the Firefox and Kconsole icon on the Desktop. With right click on the icons, I select "add to panel" but nothing happens. The icon is not added to the panel.
Is this a bug? Can I sort it out?
    Thanks

Re: Add to panel does nothing

I can suggest a workaround. Try finding the items in the K menu, and right clicking and choosing add to panel from there.

Alternatively, is your panel jammed full? It's possible they've been added but 'fallen off' the end.
I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (yes Gnome) with upgrades applied daily about 0900 UK time. Hardware is Dell Precision 420, 2x 800 MHz PIII, 512 MB RDRAM, nVidia GeForce 6800 128 MB AGP graphics, 18GB SCSI and 500GB IDE HDDs, DVD burner, Hauppage TV card.

The panel is not full at all, I have just installed kubuntu.
If I try right click on the menu item, KDE opens the application, but does not show me a menu.
