How to make Run Command autopopulate last command

When I select "Run Command..." from the K menu, the command entry line is blank. How can I get this to remember the last command I executed without having to select it from the dropdown?

    Thanks.
I am relatively new to Linux, but quite experienced with DOS and Windows. I'm comfortable editing things like fstab, etc., but I need specific instructions of what files to edit and what to add.

My system is Kubuntu 10.10, using KDE 4.5.1.

Press the 'up' button. If you go back too far, press the'down' button.

I knew that much. I would like the last run command to already be in the field.
