    KDE & GNOME

When I first started using Linux I was using KDE but I switched to Gnome and have been using that for years and gotten real comfortable with it.
It is all Linux but IMO there is a big difference between KDE & Gnome desktops.
I almost feel lost using KDE these days.
But Gnome is treading on proprietary software and that is why I started using Gnome in the first place, KDE was thought to be treading in dangerous territory and Gnome was developed because of that. KDE got all that cleared up but I got used to Gnome in the process.
I guess I'm going to have to move back to KDE because we can't have our holier than thou software beholding to proprietary software.
And no I'm not trying to start a flame I'm just pissed off that Gnome is forcing my hand.
That said I guess the prodigal son is returning to KDE.

PS my first Linux OS was Coral. Talk about spartin.

Are you referring to mono in regards to Gnome?
