              Re: Lancelot

Very nice work by Čukić, definitely a major improvement over kickoff.

I'd like it even better if the menu window would resize (enlarge, at least to some extent) when browsing sub-folders instead of contracting the folders to fit the existing window, but "who writes the code, decides" .

Nice to see this included in Ibex.

It would be a vast speed penalty to change the size - see how the resizing of the window is slow. Maybe one day when QGraphicsView receives some wonder-speed-improvements

Don't be that drastic. Just imagine that I'm a cult leader and at one point stop /producing/ Lancelot => mass suicide

                      Re: Lancelot

I installed Lancelot after reading an announcement in Planet KDE. I really like it! congratulations.

I just hope there were some repositories for easier install/update... I tried one .deb from one of the links and it had requirement of some libraries only available on Intrepid Ibex (I use ubuntu btw...), while I use Hardy... The other (I think it was a tar file?) worked fine. But I will miss updates! And I don't want to build everything in this machine, I don't have time-space-cpu to do it.

Keep up the good work! I will be waiting for new versions...

All those apps look like ones you would have installed yourself... and when you say open kate, do you mean they open the *.desktop file in kate or just open a blank kate? Not that I have any help to offer, but i would think a little more info is needed for those that can

I have app links open the .desktop file once in a while... I forget the context though...

Sorry yes, they are all .desktop "files" which work in kickoff but not in lancelot.

Of course these apps are not default, but neither is firefox or synaptic, which open as expected
