I have this peculiar problem with kdm. When it first starts, I cannot enter '^' in the password field. However, if I double click in the password field, it works (as I discovered by mistake)! If I log out, the previous solution has to be applied sometimes. The '^' _does_ work in the login field.
Any ideas as to why this is? The locale settings are working propery with regards to all other characters and I am running kdm version 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.3.
