KDE4.1: How to remove "stripes" from active window

    Hello, everybody.

As probably most of us know, "stripes" were added to the active window to make it easily distinguishable from inactive windows. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, see the attached picture:

With compositing and "dim inactive" the stripes become moot but how do I remove them? In the theme manager preview they are not even shown. Changing themes (from Ozone to Oxygen) does not help.

    Does anyone have an idea?

There should be a 'Show stripes next to the title' tickbox in SystemSettings>Appearance>Windows under the theme selection in both Ozone and Oxygen
