KDE 4.1 as default desktop and use in NXServer???

Hi all, two questions for you.

How do I make KDE 4.1 my default desktop environment?

I use NX Server to connect to my desktop at home. When I connect to it, it starts a KDE 3.5.9 session. Is there a way to make it start a KDE 4.1 session instead?

I hate to bump my own topic but does anyone have any ideas?

So it doesn't default to last used, as it would normally? Or is it that your last used is 3.5.9? (I don't use NXServer... a little more info is needed to try and help).

No, FreeNX (the NX server) doesn't seem to default to last used.

Anything interesting looking in here: /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg ?

(I used to remote desktop into a machine a while back and thought I might be able to help, but not much of it is coming back to me... sorry.)

            http://lab.localfoo.net/2008/06/virt...4-kde41-remix/

I think there is some help for you in that thread, in step four they are changing the desktop...

Different app, but the usr/lib/kde4/bin/startkde is the relevant info..... AND PLEASE, I'm just poking around here... if you want help from an expert, please wait for it before messing up your settings!
