    KDE4.1 - NetworkManager not working

    Hello,
I've just installed KDE4.1. First I did apt-get remove .*kde.* and then I installed it following this: http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.1.
The problem is that NetworkManager is not working at all (I've never used it and before I remove it I want to give it a try). It shows "No network devices found." even if eth0 and wlan0 are up and if I configure them manually I can access internet normally.

How can I make it start working?
    Thanks for any help.

It looks like knetwork manager is the default in kde4. I would suggest wifi-radar instead of knetwork manager. Go to synaptic and install from there. wifi-radar allows you to view and connect to wireless APs very easily. There are others...but wifi-radar is my personal fave.

    Hope this helps you.

Well I don't need anything for configuring the devices cos I use ifconfig and iwconfig and scripts to do so. But it was installed by default so I wanted to try it. Never mind.
