OK. Just went back to my 7.10 install with the KDE4 overlay since VirtualBox couldn't allow over 800 x 600 res (very annoying). Anyway. The KDE4 portion is fully updated. There are still a few odd things left in this setup, but not alarming. What I'm trying to figure out is why the Desktop Icons will work when you have Single Click on but don't work with Double Click on? Truthfully I never got use to single clicking. I'm a double clicker. Is there a way to fix this in KDE4. It will be a problem if I can't get Double Clicking working in all spaces. It works when File Browsing, just not from the Desktop. Does anyone have an idea about this? Couldn't find anything on this.

I can't help, Moon, I can only agree that KDE4 clicking is just a little off. I like to park the icons for my frequently used apps on the panel, so I can launch them with one click. But you kinda have to hold your mouth just right to get these apps to launch -- I seem to have to do a lot of second "single clicks".

All in all, these are quirks. I'd expect them. On a positive note, I just played a round of Nexuiz in KDE4 and it ran a lot smoother than in KDE3.5.9. That was a surprise. Even with Desktop Effects on.Comment

I get frustrated in windows... having used single clicking for some time now. I find it more effecient to use single clicking. So I haven't noticed this bug feature.

Yeah, I've always admired that avatar of MoonRise -- it's a nice one.
I've got quite few old family photos that I scanned, some going back into the 1800s. With gimp, I can outline a character and copy/paste him onto a blank background, then size it to whatever I want. I've got a number of them that I made that way. I figure they are (a) unique and (b) not copyrighted by anyone. 8)Comment

Really?? 1800's. That's cool. As far back as I've seen pictures here is maybe the 1920's.
That Avatar was a creation of a scan from my stuff and a scan from someone else. It took me two weeks learning GIMP (this was my first project with GIMP) to get those fish superimposed over that moon.Comment

The guy in my avatar was at a family reunion that, based on the apparent age of my great-grandmother, must have been around 1888. I don't know who the guy with the stogie was -- some kin or in-law, apparently.
