Installing a theme in kde4

[Fintan]

To install a plasma theme:
Download theme from here:
http://www.kde-look.org/index.php?xc...3463e3b0b131c0

or wherever you find one.

Unpack to a subdirectory and open that directory file.
copy and paste the resulting file to:

/usr/lib/kde4/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/

Now navigate to:
/hoeme/username/.kde4/share/config/plasmarc
open in kate and substitute:
[Theme]
name=default
[Theme]
name=themename (like:slim-glow)

Logg ot and back in.

I read somewhere that a plasma theme manager will be out by 4.1
There aren't that many themes to play with at the moment anywy

You can put the theme on ~/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme too

Yeah, I know. That is if you have one (/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme too), which I don't for some very unknown reason :P
At least not on HH or GG. haven't tried kde4 alpha cd

you can create it

mkdir "$HOME/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme" -p
