[FIXED]kde 4.0.2 wallpaper presentation not working

In this update, my wallpaper presentation is not working. It works the first wallpaper, but then after the time that i configured, it shows all the desktop white.

The same problem. After a wallpaper changed on presentation, the desktop is white. If i modified in this moment to show only a wallpaper, i have a white desktop too. I've deleted .kde4 and the same problem.

Do you have "Desktop Enhancements" on? That might cause the problem.

Same problem as fenix-tx on a p105 series toshiba widescreen laptop. Slideshow causes screen whiteout when moving to next wallpaper. Cannot re-establish wallpaper during session. Logging out and back in restores wallpaper, with no subsequent problems, but re-initiating slideshow results in same whiteout. When re-setting to wallpaper from slideshow, and trying to restore wallpaper, the next wallpaper momentarily flickers on before continuing whiteout, so only logging out and back in works right now to clear problem. Whether 'desktop effects' is enabled or not makes no difference on my rig. Running latest hardy alpha, completely up to date.

Looks like a x.org/graphic card issue.

I would suggest this is a KDE 4.0.2 issue. I've got this as well - happened as soon as I upgraded to 4.0.2 from 4.0.1. Before that the desktop background had no issues when it was changed in screensaver mode.

Me too, Fintan. I think I'll skip doing updates tonight, and leave the system running, and hope it's better tomorrow. :P

I just got home from work. I wanted to update . I guess I'll at least work on VirtualBox to fix my resolution.

Edit: And HH KDE4 Alpha doesn't report any updates.
And VirtualBox Guest Additions loaded fine in HH KDE4 Alpha, but can't get X to recognize the driver
via "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg"...actually never gives me the choice to pick a driver. Sets up the
mouse and keyboard fine, no improved Video. Tried using Display Settings, but doesn't give you the
ability to change the video driver like 3.5.8/9 does. Maybe this is a HH KDE4 issue?
