    KDE4 how-to move taskbar reduce to 1 window and resize widgets

    Currently I have a very strange KDE4 desktop. The Taskbar is nearly a 3rd of the way up the screen I cannot lower it. The widgets are very large and I cannot get them to be smaller plus it appears (now this may be a feature ?) that I have multiple mini desktop screens running all with zoom out in the top right corner.

    How can you start with just one normal desktop and not have multiple smaller ones?

    I am thinking your problem is in your system settings for KDE4

    in your home folder you should check the settings in the file

    vim .kde4/share/config/systemsettingsrc
    post them if you need help

      I am thinking KDE4 mabe isn't coping with my Nvidia settings to enable a second screen ( My TV). Of course if this file is short an entry please let me know as I have never changed settings through this file before.

        The fault I found lies in the fact that kde4 cannot cope with multiple screens. so I changed my xorg to be

          This is a slightly similar problem.
          While in KDE4 gutsy the:
          ... default theme's font sizes too small... I cannot read any of the settings fonts to change anything. The fonts on all my icons are way too small and the fonts in open windows where it says "file edit view history, etc... is too small to see as well.
          Fonts on web pages are fine while web surfing.

          The point is that using the default font is impossible for me to see and make adjustments.

          My system:
          amd 6000+
          msi motherboard
          nvidia geforce 8600 gts vid card (PNY brand)
          2 gig ram
