First of all, it's not kicker anymore - the desktop, the panel and the widgets are all plasma ;-)
But I'm afraid there is no way to change the size of the panel at the moment - at least not an easy way without searching and changing the settings in a config-file.
One of the things "that did not make it into 4.0.0" as the developers constantly say at the moment (hopefully the discussion of releasing 4.0.0 at this time does not start again - my opinion is, the released too early, but who am I to say so).

I managed to install kicker by running it from the command line, but if appears above the panel and cannot be moved apparently.Comment
