Why use a cli tool that uses the native cli tool to do cli things

Yeah but it really is for those many Neon users who are not familiar with the differences between Debian and Ubuntu in terms of Apt usage. And thus not getting all updates.

They did modify how apt upgrade was called to reveal a message instead of running the incorrect command.


I understand and even agree with the choice but I don't use it.

I have to explain this often when helping someone troubleshoot. Pkcon doesn't give full messaging so its not always useful for that purpose.
