Hi
I will, for one of the few times, keep this post short!
There is a review of a Brazilian distro named LinuxFX, based on Mint that has one and only one review at DistroWatch in which the review discusses the "free download" but...in the blurb at the top there is mention of a 'facial recognition" system that recognizes "humour" and other things.
The aforementioned software is named "Sentinella".
Well, in the review the person never mentioned Sentinella because it is 'not in the free download".
All of the reviews are of the free download and no mention of Sentinella.
The big discussion about LinuxFX is that is a VISUAL "clone" of Win10. (tm) and that is also the thrust of the user reviews.
The other highly interesting comment is that as of the time of the writing all of a sudden some of the formerly available ..isos were no longer available and...
It has apparently "gone commercial".
so, the point about this post is that the facial recognition, runs under Ubuntu and is available at SourceForge but only as a commercial thing.
Maybe pay for the facial recognition software, do not know the cost, hook it into the cameras around your house, it sees an intruder, checks the "face" maybe compares to a database and sends a report to police. or something like that.
