    Converted from OpenSUSE

I have been using OpenSUSE Linux for around 15-16 years now and have been pretty happy with it. My desktop recently needing updating as the version it was using was no longer supported...but the newest version simply wouldn't load up, it kept freezing right at the beginning of the installation. I decided to give Kubuntu a go, as it used KDE which I was used to. I ended up installing it on a laptop first and, after a few issues with dual booting, I got it going and it was like being at home...only everything seemed that bit easier to get to work.

This morning I decided to try to wipe my SUSE installation and try to install Kubuntu, it worked straight away. With SUSE I was always greeted with a black screen and had to manually install NVidia drivers, do some other bits which was a pain, but once up and running it was fine. No such issue with Kubuntu...it just worked. I am really happy with how it has gone and everything bar one issue (font sizes) has gone really well.

Converted to Kubuntu, and won't be going back to SUSE!
Working...
