Disk and RAM Usage of Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, MATE, Budgie 18.04 LTS
it is something many of us know already
I run Plasma on my low power Celeron Chromebooks, and it uses almost the exact same amount of ram. All the blingy stuff is done on the GPU, and even low end Chromebooks have enough in that regard.
16.04 era Plasma (5.8) was the last bloaty version, I think.
If a user has enough RAM and enough disk, statistics don't matter
It seems most Linux users are obsessed with stats like these. It's actually quite hilarious reading threads boasting about saving 50 mb here and 100 mb there on a system that has 16 or 32 GB RAM. Love it! .
