hi guys, i really messed up this time. I accidentally ran fdisk on my primary drive. I don't care about most of what i have but there is one folder with some script and coding that I'm lost without. Is it possible to do a non-destructive kubuntu 24:10 install without losing all my stuff? I'm a heart beat away from a coronary guys!!!

Okay I made a little progress using testdisk. I was able to get the drive up to a readable point. However the drive is no longer bootable. This isn't REALLY a problem i have a new drive ordered and it should be here Tuesday. In the meantime i would like to know out of curiosity is it possible to rebuild the boot partition while keeping my data?

Out of laziness, I think I would try Boot-Repair.

(rather to try to somehow do it manually; or you could chroot & reinstall grub, but that's what Boot-Repair will do anyway)An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski
