    Distrotest

I recently heard about a website which allows you to test a number (quite a number--over 100, I think) of Linux distros without installing a virtual machine. The test, as far as I can see it, lasts about 45 minutes, which would be fine if you just want to see what a distro looks like and a rough idea of how it works. You can install programs on it too within the time limit. I tried it on Mint 18.3 Xfce, and while it was a little slow, it gave me a little time to play around with it and get an idea of what it was like. The address is here: www.distrotest.net

    Slow is an understatement!
It took me to a Console and I had to use startx to fire up the Plasma 5 desktop on Kubuntu 18.04.1beta

A similar but faster technology using hypervisors called "containers" is at https://linuxcontainers.org/
On the LXD "Try-it!" you can create instances of many distros.
