Hi, I have decided to return to Linux on the desktop after becoming disillusioned with Windows 10 and MacOS. I have previously been involved with Linux since the 90's and was involved with Ubuntu since Warty. This is my first use of KDE since wayback when Mandrake was my distro of choice. I am very impressed with Kubuntu. I tried Ubuntu 18.04 and found it to be too buggy on my machine. I installed Kubuntu 18.04 and all went great with no install hiccups or bugs. I very much like KDE Plasma and looking forward to trying 5.13.1 in the near future.
