    Where is Bionic Bever?

    I thought 18.04 was releasing today. The download Kubuntu page only goes up to 18.10.1. Was the release delayed?
    Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

        It's downloading now. I hope this Kindle Fire has enough space to download it. Can I upgrade from the dvd. I don't have internet on my Linux box at the moment.

          I have been testing Bionic Beaver ever since I installed it on Kemu VMM, and have updated it almost every day. I kust finished doing the most recent updates, including the new kernel (4.15.0-20). Can I assume that I now have the same Kubuntu 18.04 LTS that is now being downloaded (except for what I installed, such as Ksudoku)?

            I downloaded 1.74Gigabytes. Does that sound right?

                I read that they found a last minute bug that needed fixed. Truth?

                      Not sure. The only updates available tonight since last night are java related:
                      libatk-wrapper-java 0.33.3-20 -> 0.33.3-20ubuntu0.1
                      libatk-wrapper-java-jni 0.33.3-20 -> 0.33.3-20ubuntu0.1
                      Nowadays I'm mostly Mac, but...

                        Can I use my newly burned 18.04 dvd to upgrade or do I have to do a fresh install? I have no internet on my Linux box at the moment. Temporary problem.

                            Affected GTK flavours, but we all release together.

                              That explains why it was so late in the day. Suggestion, put a message at the top of the Kubuntu download page "new releases might be delayed a few days or hours due to last minute showstopper Bugs being discovered. Please be Patient." Highlight that in read.
