Large music companies continue their mission to legislate their broken business model into an enforced permanence and don't care who they take down with it. Albeit a small minority in the EU, thankfully there are people like Julia Reda to fight this stupidity.

It seems apparent to me that Voss may have been rewarded handsomely with a campaign contribution, or a donation to his favorite "charity", etc... Or, like the ISO committee chairperson who oversaw the OOXML debate, he may have a cushy job awaiting him which entails a very high salary but no real responsibilities. Lots of travel to resort locations to speak about how those entertainment industries are being ripped off for trillion$. uh, huh. Right.
