    Elisa Music Player

This is one of the nicest looking music players I've seen. It's not rich in features but it's still being quite actively built. The progress can be followed here https://mgallienkde.wordpress.com/

You can install it via flatpak with the following commands

    Code:
    flatpak remote-add –if-not-exists flathub [URL]https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo[/URL]
    flatpak remote-add –if-not-exists kdeapps –from [URL]https://distribute.kde.org/kdeapps.flatpakrepo[/URL]
    flatpak install kdeapps org.kde.elisa
Or you can add those links to the repositories in Discover if you have the flatpak backend installed.

The first thing that is notice when you start Elisa up the contents of your music folder are just there. That's a really great start, though I don't think it imports track with no metadata. The banner at the top contains the track details, the album cover and a background rendered from a highly blurred version of the album cover (I kind of preferred it in previous version when it wasn't so blurred). It currently only fetches some of the album covers in folders, I don't know why. The hover over interface allowing you to select to enqueue or replace albums or artist's repertoire is very user friendly. In fact the UI overall is very user friendly. My main gripe for this program at the moment is that for compilation/various artist albums each artist's track is shown as a separate album. I have a fair few of these albums so it annoys more than average as it makes the album section way larger than it needs to be. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Features which would be nice are Smart Playlists, External Media playback, and a System Tray Icon which can control playback when in the background.

I like this player and look forward to future developments.
